A Blooming Success!
This year’s Annual Flower and Vegetable Show, held on Saturday 16th August 2025, was a fantastic celebration of community spirit, talent, and tradition. We had a wonderful turnout from across Spondon and beyond, with tables full of stunning flowers, homegrown vegetables, delicious baking, and beautifully crafted items. Remember this show isn’t just for allotment holders – anyone can take part. With classes covering flowers, fruit, vegetables, crafts, and home baking, there truly was something for everyone to enjoy.
Highlights of the Day

🌟 Best Wonky Veg Competition – a brand-new (and much-loved) addition this year, which brought plenty of laughter!

🎟️ Raffle – packed with fantastic prizes kindly donated by local businesses and supporters from further afield.

🥒 The Courgette Auction – an extraordinary number of courgettes went under the hammer, with our auctioneer offering some entertaining tips on how to make the most of them.
